Heyy there Houston pizza and pasta lovers....I found a new spot for you and its nestled right in the heart of Highland Village 😉
The name is Numero28, and let me tell you, this is Numero 1 on my revisit list. 🤝
You walk in, and are instantly hit with the rustic decor, cozy lighting, and the aromatic scent of freshly baked dough that creates such an inviting atmosphere that makes you feel so welcome and warm - perfect for family, friends, or that special someone in your life. The space is intimate, stylish, and quaint. When you step inside, you will feel like you've been transported outside the hustling city of Houston and into a whole new space. The hospitality was incredible, and every single person working there was truly delightful, and always made sure everyone was comfortable.
The food....oh my word. Where do I even begin? Each dish was an experience of its own, and I wish I was able to taste every single thing on the menu in one sitting, but alas, I couldn't. So I tried a couple things, and have 0 regrets with my choices.

COCKTAILS
I tried a yummy Limoncello Martini and it tasted JUST like a refreshing lemon sugar cookie. I am obsessed. The perfect drink for the Houston heat. 🍸
APPETIZERS
My friend Kaitlyn and I started out with the Caponata (a Sicilian sweet and sour vegetable mix served on a crostini) and the Arancina Tradizionale (a Saffron spiced risotto ball served with some tomato sauce and stuffed with beef meat sauce). So. Yummy.
ENTREES
We then moved on to entrees, and I had the TOUGHEST time choosing what I wanted, but luckily the bartender gave me his expert advice, and I decided to try the Pappardelle Alla Bolognese. It was oh so yummy. Kaitlyn tried the Cacio E Pepe and it was so cool! They brought out her dish in a hollow cheese wheel, and we watched as they twisted and mixed the cheese with the creamy pasta and Kaitlyn reported that it tasted JUST as good as it looked.
DESSERT
Honestly, I don't know how I wasn't completely full from the hearty food, but luckily I still had some room to satisfy my sweet tooth. We split the Tiramisu (layers of lady fingers soaked with espresso and topped with cream and cocoa powder). It was absolutely delicious and was a perfect ending to the night.
Overall, thank you Numero28 for such a delicious meal and such a great customer service experience. And to those reading: gather your friends, loosen your belt a notch or two, and get ready to eat some quality food! 😋
