Hey there! 😊
Whether you were born in Houston or a new visitor, there is always something new and wonderful to discover here! Join me, as we dive into the hidden gems, delicious treats, and cultural delights that make Houston so special. 🥰 Here is a quick guide to what I am going to be covering throughout my blog ⬇
1️⃣ A foodie's paradise
From sizzling Tex-Mex to authentic Vietnamese pho, your tummy will always be satisfied. Explore the hotspots like Montrose, Midtown, The Heights, and City Centre, where trendy eateries and cozy cafes await your visit. 🍽
2️⃣ Embrace the artistic views
Houston is always changing and growing. The city offers a hugeee amount of cultural experiences as well. The Museum District (one of my favorite spots) is the home to the Houston Museum of Natural Science, Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, and the Museum of Fine Arts. You can completely immerse yourself and your friends in the beauty of history, art, and science, and get some cute Instagram shots too. 📸
3️⃣ Sports. Sports. Sports.
Houstonians are passionate about their sports, so you definitely are bound to catch the excitement. Whether you are a football, baseball, soccer, or basketball fan, Houston has a team for you. Head to Minute Maid Park for a Houston Astros game, or go cheer on the Houston Rockets if you prefer an electric NBA game. Wear your teams color with pride. 📣
4️⃣ Let's go to the movies!
I am a movie lover. Going to the movie theater is my idea of perfect therapy. I am always down to explore and find new movie theaters in Houston, but as of right now, my favorite theaters are: Cut!, Studio Movie Grill, and Regal Edwards Houston Marq'E! Know of any good movies coming out?? Let me know! 🍿
5️⃣ Explore the nature...if it isn't too hot out
I remember when I moved to California from Houston when I was younger, and everyone thought I rode a horse to school. They were pretty let down whenever I told them that I didn't. However, escaping the bustling city streets and loud cars, there are many places in Houston where you can explore the nature and green spaces. My favorite drive of all time is down Memorial and Buffalo Bayou Park! The park is a 160-acre green space where visitors can enjoy the gorgeous gardens, trails, dog park, art, picnic spots, and so much more. There is also the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center, which I have not been to yet, but stay tuned for a blog post! 😉
6️⃣ Get in bestie, we're going shopping
For the fashion people, Houston has got you covered. The city offers so many shopping opportunities...and with that, my wallet hates me. From upscale boutiques to spacious malls, your closet is going to be filled. A few of my favorite Houston shopping spots include: Rice Village, City Centre, Highland Village, as well as a few shops in the neighborhood of Montrose. Retail therapy is a thing. So treat yourself and your closet!
I cannot wait to share more with you about my finds and favorites! Stay tuned and be sure to follow me on socials: TikTok and Instagram to stay in the loop! 💗📲
Love 💋
